Ellie graduated from the University of Essex with a First Class Honours degree in BSc Biological Science and recently returned from Central America where she worked as a wildlife educator at Monteverde Butterfly Gardens in Costa Rica. She studied with the terrestrial research team at Archipelagos Institute of Marine Conservation. Including an investigation into the macroinvertebrate communities within seagrass wrack at sandy and rocky beaches, a biodiversity assessment of Lipsi island, and the impacts of urbanisation on butterfly diversity.
Ellie is passionate about wildlife. Specifically, birds and forests, freshwater bodies and the associated fauna. She loves learning more about how these complex systems interact with each other and construct entire ecosystems.
